Saitama Mill is our primary production facility and also incorporates our research and development department. It is equipped with production lines including and subsequent to needling and is responsible for finishing all our products. Saitama Mill's fabric and fiber production department was the first in Japan to receive the ISO9001 certification in the field. In all aspects of the production of felt and synthetic textiles--from development and manufacturing to delivery and support service--the mill can be said to be world class. The mill grounds are surrounded by a quiet residential area and have been planted with more than 1,700 trees, 70 varieties in all. With the cooperation of our workers we are taking every measure to maintain a natural enviroment. At our Saitama Mill we make achieving top quality and harmony with nature our number-one priority.

Tochigi Mill is equipped with production lines incorporating the warping machines and looms used to make base fabrics. The facility is located in a wonderful natural setting in the old castle town of Kurobane, overlooking the Nasu Mountain Range and the Nakagawa River. It boasts machines that are among the world's newest and largest--up to 31 meters wide--and a system of exclusively developed robots that make it possible to achive high efficiency with a small workforce. We aim at making the mill an integral part of the surrounding community -over 70% of the workers are locally hired, and the work force is young. Developing multiskilled workers is just one of the many unique initiatives that have been undertaken at Tochigi; while being assigned to a primary job, workers are rotated among departments to give them the opportunity to get an overview of the entire production process and their particular role therein. This initiative and others are making large contributions to technological developments at the mill.
